47. Jobs:

Increase employment by 2% each year from 2010 to 2016

Note: The data shown is an annual growth rate, that is, the June 2012 figure is the percentage change in employment from June 2011 to June 2012.

Explanatory Comments

In January 2010 (the baseline for this target), South Australia recorded an annual employment growth rate of 1.4%.  Since then employment growth has averaged 0.3% and in January 2016 the annual growth rate was 1.3%.

Annual employment growth reached 2.0% in August and September 2010, otherwise the 2.0% annual target has not been reached.
