47. Jobs:

Increase employment by 2% each year from 2010 to 2016

Note: The data shown is an annual growth rate, that is, the June 2012 figure is the percentage change in employment from June 2011 to June 2012.

Explanatory Comments

In January 2010 (the baseline for this target), South Australia recorded an annual employment growth rate of 1.4%. Over the period between January 2010 and December 2016, employment growth averaged 0.4% and in December 2016 the annual growth rate was 1.4%. 

Annual employment growth reached 2.0% in August 2010, otherwise the 2.0% annual target was not achieved.

In October 2017, the annual employment growth rate improved to 1.5%.
