Key Measure

Explanatory Comments

In 2009 (the baseline year), South Australia’s recycled stormwater harvesting capacity was 5.8 gigalitres (GL) per year and 22.7 GL by June 2014.  While there has been no additional increase identified since 2014, further stormwater harvesting and reuse projects are in progress. The completion of these projects will further increase the total stormwater harvesting capacity.

Stormwater harvest capacity is based on information from various sources including stormwater project final reports.

This target measures the capacity to harvest stormwater, which does not reflect the amount being reused on an annual basis.

Data is based on financial years (e.g. 2017 is for 2016/17).

Stormwater harvest capacity is based on known information collated by DEWNR from various sources including SA Water and local council reports.
