Explanatory Comments

The proportion of South Australians (aged 15 - 64) in the labour force with non-school qualifications grew from 51.1% in 2002 (the baseline year) to 64.0% in 2017. The Australian level also increased over this same period (from 54.5% to 67.0%).

The gap between the South Australian and Australian figures had remained relatively stable until 2012 (3.4 percentage points in 2002 compared with 3.3 percentage points in 2012), closed to 1.4 percentage points in 2015 but increased out to 3.0 percentage points in 2017.
